The NCMA DC Chapter will welcome Shanna Webbers, Chief Procurement Officer at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), as our January dinner meeting speaker. Ms. Webbers is a senior acquisition professional leading a staff of over 350 contracting specialists and support personnel located across the United States. In FY16, her team executed more than 10,000 contract actions totaling $2.43 billion.
Ms. Webbers procures supplies, services, equipment, and information technology (IT) for the IRS and Treasury Offices and IT for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. She is accountable for all matters related to acquisition, including development of policies, procedures, programs, and objectives in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations. She determines program emphases and goals and establishes standards and procedures for the effective, efficient and ethical implementation of Agency procurement activities. She also evaluates agency-wide procurement effectiveness, economy, and customer service and identifies and develops improvement strategies.
Please note there are two parking garages on either side of PCI. PCI is on the right hand side of a one way street. There is one garage before PCI (1725 I Street), and another garage just after PCI. The garage before PCI closes at 8pm. The garage after PCI closes at 10pm. Street parking begins at 6:30pm. Also, PCI is located on the ground level, just to the left of the numbered building.
