Virtual Panel: Working and Thriving in the Pandemic Economy

ABOUT OUR PANELISTS

Jeremy D. Burkhart is a litigation attorney at the law firm of Holland & Knight in Tysons, Virginia. He focuses his practice on litigation, dispute resolution, and mergers and acquisitions. Jeremy provides counsel and representation on all government contract matters, including bid protests, claims, subcontracting, teaming agreements, small business contracting programs, compliance, and suspension and debarment. He has had considerable trial experience and has advised Fortune 500 companies, federal government contracting officials, and senior military officers on contract matters. Prior to his current position, Jeremy spent nine years serving as an active-duty JAG.

David Drabkin has over 41 years of government contracting experience in both the public and private sectors. He recently served as the Chairman of the Section 809 Panel where he worked with industry and government professionals to provide 98 recommendations to improve the U.S. Department of Defense’s acquisition system. David was also appointed by the President of the United States to the Service Acquisition Reform Act (SARA) Panel and the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Panels. Over his extensive career, he has held positions at the U.S. Department of Defense, General Services Administration, and the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee of the U.S. Senate. He has also worked at Northrop Grumman Corporation and Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP. David currently serves as principal at Drabkin & Associates, LLC.

Allison Geewax is a partner at the law firm of Asmar, Schor & McKenna, PLLC in Washington D.C. where she maintains a diverse practice both as a litigator and as a client counselor, advising clients in government contracting and construction. In addition to her experience litigating construction matters throughout the District of Columbia and Maryland, she has experience in government contracts litigation before the Boards of Contract Appeals and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, as well as bid protest experience at the GAO. Allison also works extensively on drafting and negotiating AIA and DBIA agreements. Previously, Allison worked as an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University Law School and served as Law Clerk for the U.S. Coast Guard.

Aaron M. Levin is an attorney at the law firm of Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Washington D.C. Aaron works in the Government Contracts & Projects Practice division, focusing on government contracts litigation before the GAO, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the ASBCA, and the SBA. He advises companies on all stages of federal acquisitions and government procurements, from solicitation, to contract administration, to claims and litigation. Aaron previously served as Assistant General Counsel in the Contracts Group of the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Defense and served as an Ethics Specialist in the Office of Ethics at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
